Niclas & Sara´s

Summer Wedding

Southern France at our Château Orage de l'hiver
3rd - 10th of July 2011

We met in 2008 during
     what from the outside
         seemed
 to be distressed &
                     chaotic circumstances

during the hostile occupation of the Bangkok airport and revolt in Thailand. This incident brought us together a couple of days later in the sunset at a wonderful beach on Koh Samet, a paradise island, to where both of us had escaped the chaos and sought refuge. Coincidentally, being 'political refugees' proved to have huge upsides to both of us, not only as it gave us two weeks of extra vacation, but we also got to know each other, and on top of all we started to realize that we might have found the love of our lives! It was a hardship for both of us when we got to know that The King of Thailand resolved the situation and we were forced to return back to reality at home. A month later we met up again over New Years in Stockholm and kept on seeing each other and skiing in the Norwegian mountains throughout the winter.

The reason for our choice of

   getting married in Southern France

is that it was the place where we became a couple during a getaway in the region and ski-adventure in the Pyrenees, and naturally, our admiration and love for the French culture and cuisine, and furthermore Niclas’ needs to improve his non-existing French!

Niclas proposed

   unexpectedly during our MC road-

      trip around Southern Norway in

                 July 2010 at the spectacular

                                             Preikestolen

During our 2 hour ascent to the site of the 'Pulpit Rock'/Preikestolen there was a mystical mist covering the landscape. When Niclas proposed on the edge of the cliff, 604 meters (1982 feet) above the Lysefjord (pictures to the left), with hundreds of spectators, the applause and cheering made the mist to release its grip and the weather cleared in minutes with a clear blue sky emerging. We take this as an unambiguous sign of good luck and bright future!

As our friends and family are dispersed all over Scandinavia and the Globe and we don’t get the opportunity to meet all of you as often as we would like, we would love to gather all of you in one location to get some quality time together. We hope that you take the opportunity to make this a joyful vacation in Southern France to explore and enjoy the fantastic region with its exciting history and fabulous sites. The region offers all sorts of outdoor activities and fun that we hope you will engage in after your liking, where the Château will be the centre-point for your excursions.
