Orage de l'hiver

Southern France
3rd - 10th of July 2011

The Château
was built in the XIXth century
by a Marquis on the foundations
               of an old mediaval castle.

Château Orage de I'hiver of ours with its beautiful grounds and surroundings will be the center-point for all our guests throughout our wedding week, for all excursions and adventures of your own choice throughout the wonderful Midi-Pyrénées/Languedoc Region and south of France and perhaps even to Andorra and Spain?!

Quick facts:
• the Château is 1000 m²

• has 20 bedrooms, sleeping 40 people
• its grounds are 5 hectares

• has a pool & tennis court

• located 30 min. south-east of Toulouse

• less than 40 min. from the medieval City of
  Carcassonne

• just a bit more than 1-1½ hour drive from both the Mediterranean and Andorra, as well as from the border to Spain.

The more recent history of the Château:

In the 1940s, the château opened its doors to one hundred jewish orphans who left poignant traces of their stays through sosme preserved drawings on the whitewashed walls.

60 years later a large delegation commemorated this wartime gesture by the family, to which the Château still belongs, by placing a remembrance plaque on one of the walls of the property.
